NEWiRE’s 13th Annual Networking Golf Tournament was held on Monday September 14th at Wollaston Country Club in Milton.   Participants not only enjoyed a round of golf at this scenic course overlooking the Blue Hills, the day also marked the debut of offering a golf clinic run by a golf pro for members wanting to improve all aspects of their game.  Afterwards, all attendees gathered to enjoy dinner at the club and had the chance to win fantastic raffle prizes including Taylor made woods, Red Sox tickets, a round of golf at Oakley Country Club, and an Aeron chair.   This year, all proceeds from the tournament benefitted the NEWiRE Educational Foundation, Inc. (Foundation), a 501 (c) (3) endowed fund that supports the NEWiRE Educational Foundation Scholarship (Scholarship).  The Scholarship will be awarded to one or more female junior, senior or graduate students at one or more accredited colleges or universities based in New England who have demonstrated an interest in pursuing a career in the commercial real estate industry. Spring 2010 will mark the first time the Foundation will be in a position to award the Scholarship, which will be for the 2010/2011 school year. The Charity Golf Committee would like to thank Normandy Real Estate Partners as the Tournament Sponsor and Leggat McCall Properties as the Dinner Sponsor, along with the companies responsible for obtaining raffle prizes, the volunteers and participants, all of whom helped make the tournament a success
