For members interested in attending the 2013 CREW Network Convention in Dallas Texas, NEWiRE is offering 2 grants for first-time attendees (not counting the two Boston conventions in 2001 and 2009). Please note that the grant only covers the cost of registration. You will be responsible for all travel, hotel and additional program costs. We ask that you be considerate of other applicants and only apply if you are firmly committed to attending in Dallas on October 9-12, 2013. illustrates, they can succeed. Her advice: Pursue what you like to think about.
Be polite but be firm and remember, no guts no glory. 80% of success is showing
up. Those to whom much is given, much is expected; when one door closes, another
opens. Life is short so be swift to love and make haste to be kind.

Generally speaking, most people tend to think of commercial real estate in terms of private industry. However, there are plenty of public projects going on in and around the city of Boston that deserve recognition for the simple fact that they can have such a profound impact on our communities. From economic development to affordable housing, public projects affect people's daily lives in many different ways. That is what makes the NEWiRE Public Strategies Committee worthy of notice. They work to educate members about how the public and private sectors intersect while supporting and encouraging the involvement of women in the public sector. One way they do this is through their annual Women in Government Reception. The purpose of this event is to recognize women who work in the public sector at all levels, as well as our elected and appointed officials, by honoring their accomplishments.

Heroes are people who are admired for their courage or noble qualities. We have a lot of everyday heroes at NEWiRE who generally don't go out of their way to call attention to themselves. However, we believe it is important to recognize their individual accomplishments and, at the same time, what those efforts mean collectively to all women in the commercial real estate industry.
