From Emily Batchelder, NEWiRE Educational Foundation, Inc. PresidentMaryLong_2010ScholarshipRecipient

2010 represents the first year that we have awarded a scholarship through the NEWiRE Educational Foundation.

We were pleased to receive 12 strong applications from area colleges and universities. If the quality of these applications is any indication, NEWiRE’s future is bright.

Our winner has clearly demonstrated an interest in commercial real estate. After completing her undergraduate studies she worked as a brokerage assistant at CB Richard Ellis. Ready for the next step in her real estate career, she is currently putting herself through law school at Suffolk University.

For those lawyers in the room, I would keep an eye on this one. It is clear that she is an asset to any group she joins.

It is with great pleasure that I announce the 2010 NEWiRE Educational Foundation scholarship recipient.

Congratulations to Mary Long.
