Be a GIVER and get a GREEN STAR Campaign
The campaign to raise funds for the NEWiRE Educational
Foundation and the CREW Network Foundation has begun. We are pleased to announce that 100% of the
NEWiRE Board of Directors and the NEWiRE Educational Foundation Board of
Directors have each made a personal tax deductible donation to the
Foundations. We are asking all our
members to show their support and do the same.
Your contribution will help young women interested in pursuing a career
in commercial real estate achieve their goals.
To acknowledge your support, A GREEN STAR will be placed on the nametag
of any member who makes a donation of any amount to the Foundations.
We are excited to announce that over $2,500 has been raised for
the NEWiRE Educational Foundation since the launch of the campaign. Our goal is to raise $5,000 or more by May 1st
so that the NEWiRE Educational Foundation can provide a second $5,000
Scholarship to a deserving young woman. This campaign also helps us meet the
CREW Challenge of having 50% of our members support the CREW Foundation since a
portion of all campaign dollars will be donated to the CREW Network
Foundation. So please consider making a tax
deductible donation of any amount by mailing a check, made payable to the
NEWiRE Educational Foundation, to the NEWiRE office OR contact the NEWiRE
office at (617) 247-2346 to make a donation by credit card.
Thank you to everyone who has already made
contributions. We are looking forward to
awarding a second scholarship in the Spring.
If you haven’t given yet, now is the time to be a giver, get that green
star and share in the rewarding feeling of being part of the reason we’re able
to award a second scholarship!

From Erin Walls, 2013-2014 President of the NEWiRE Educational Foundation, Inc.
Once again, we were very fortunate to have a strong group of candidates for the Foundations annual scholarship from both undergraduate and graduate programs throughout New England. This year, the NEWiRE Educational Foundation Scholarship recipient has shown us that she has an amazing work ethic and drive to succeed. She is successfully taking measures to poise herself for a successful career in Commercial Real Estate. It is with great pleasure that we announce the 2013 NEWiRE Educational Foundation scholarship recipient is Emma Tuohy.
Emma just completed her Sophomore Year at Suffolk University, working towards an Accounting Degree with a Minor in Real Estate. She maintains an almost perfect GPA while balancing a full class schedule and heading home every weekend to work. She is an exceptionally bright young woman who is planning on leading by example for future women to follow in her footsteps. Emma already recognizes the merits of NEWiRE and is looking forward to building a network of professionals who will help her to gain both exposure and training towards a future career in the industry. We wish Emma the best, as she pursues both academic and professional success.
Please join me in congratulating the 2013 NEWiRE Educational Foundation Scholarship Recipient, Emma Tuohy.
